Ingredients
- 1 ½ C Warm Water
- 1 ⅛ t Yeast
- 2 T Brown Sugar
- 1 ⅛ t Salt
- 3.5 C Flour
- 0.5 C wheat flour
- 2 C Warm Water
- 2 T Baking Soda
- Butter and Salt or Cinnamon/Sugar
Steps
- Sprinkle yeast on water and stir to dissolve
- Add Sugar and Salt and stir to dissolve
- Add Flour and knead until smooth and elastic
- Let rise 30 mins
- Make a Baking Soda bath with 1 C water and 1 T baking soda
- Shape dough and dip pretzels into bath and place on greased baking sheets (silicone mats)
- Allow pretzels to rise again
- Bake 450 degrees for 10 minutes
- Brush with melted butter and topping of choice
