HONEY AND GARLIC MEATBALLS

Servings: 6 @ 2½ Syns each

Ingredients
  • Mix 800g minced chicken with tsp garlic granules, tsp onion powder, tsp cracked black pepper, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp Schwartz crushed chillies, 25g panko breadcrumbs (3.5 Syns) 2 x finely chopped spring onions

  • Shape into 30 smallish meatballs and brown on saute mode and set aside

  • In a bowl mix together 4 TBS tomato puree, 3 TBS soy sauce, 4 TBS runny honey (10 syns) 2 tsp garlic granules, ½ tsp Schwartz crushed chillies, mug chicken stock (approx 200 ml boiling water made up with ½ chicken stock cube)

  1. Served with Fragrant basmati rice (cooked with 4 whole cloves, tsp salt, 3 bay leaves, crumbled chicken stock cube) Sweet potato fries & mixed veg

  6. Place into the pot on saute/Browning function for approx 2 minutes
  7. Carefully place the meatballs into the sauce and secure the lid. Close valve and set to meat function (13 minutes) then NPR
  8. Carefully remove the meatballs and put on saute mode to reduce the sauce to the desired consistency
