Ingredients
  • 1 quart dried navy beans (4 cups, or about 2 lbs)
  • ½ lb salt pork or uncured bacon, cut into ½ inch pieces
  • 3 large onions, diced
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar
  • ⅔ cup molasses
  • 2 tsp dry mustard powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 4 cups water (or unsalted stock/broth)
