Sausage Stew
Ingredients
  • Well for a throw it in and see what happens, I ended up with a sausage casserole/Italian wedding soup...

  • 6 pork sausages, cut in half
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 carrots, sliced
  • 2 large potatoes, cubed
  • 2 Chicken Oxo cubes
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1 to 2 tsps Dried thyme to taste
  • 2 handfuls of savoy cabbage, sliced
  • 1 tsp of tomato puree
  • Glug of white wine

  • subheading: Method:
  • 1. Turn on sauté mode, sautéed onions and carrots in a little vegetable oil, added sausages and sautéed a little bit more until starting to 'catch'.
  • 2. Turned off sauté mode and stirred in tomato puree, and deglazed with the wine. (Make sure nothing stuck on bottom)
  • 3. Placed potatoes in, and added ½ pint of water. Sprinkle in oxo cubes, little seasoning and thyme. Stir to combine.
  • 4. Cooked on high for 7 minutes then QPR.
  • 5. Threw cabbage on top and cooked on high for another 2 mins, then QPR.
  • (Although it was on keep warm for 2 mins before I QPR, but worked as potatoes were a bit mushy which I think added to the texture
