Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- ¾ cup shortening
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 ¼ cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar (I might even increase this to 1 ½ tsp. next time)
- Next time I will also add ¼ tsp salt
- 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, or more to taste (I would use mini-chips if available)
