7Up Cream Cheese Pound Cake W/ Browned Butter Lemon Icing

  • Note for Conventional Oven method: Cooking time- 1 hour and 10 to 15 minutes at 325 degrees
  • 8 oz. Unsalted Butter plus 1 to 2 tablespoons for the tube cake pan, room temperature
  • 8 oz. Cream Cheese, room temperature
  • 2-½ Cups Granulated Sugar
  • 6 Eggs, room temperature
  • 2 Teaspoons Lemon Extract
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 3 Cups All Purpose Flour plus ¼ cup for the tube cake pan
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 8 oz. 7Up Soda (or Sprite), room temperature
