easy chicken or turkey gravy
no poultry needed

Servings: makes 2 cups

Ingredients
  • 6 Tablespoons butter
  • 6 Tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1 cup milk
  • salt and pepper
Steps
  1. Melt butter and mix in flour to make a roux
  2. Whisk continually until bubbly and turns light brown
  3. Gradually whisk in stock and milk
  4. Cook while whisking about 5 minutes until thickened
  5. Add salt and pepper to taste
Notes
  • Can easily be doubled.  Add more stock and less milk for a thinner gravy.
