Ingredients
- 32 oz tater tots, frozen
- 1½ lbs left-over smoked brisket
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 2 to 3 green onions, chopped
- 1 to 2 sliced jalapenos
- ½ cup (4 oz) sour cream
- Optional: salsa or bbq sauce
Steps
- Set smoker/grill to 325°. (You can also make these in the oven. The smoker just adds a little extra flavor.)
- Place tater tots on the bottom of a large cast-iron skillet and arrange in one layer. Place skillet in preheated grill and cook tater tots until crispy and golden (see pkg directions for appx time.)
- Top tater tots with shredded or chopped brisket, green onions, and cheddar cheese.
- Return to the grill for 15 minutes or until cheese has melted.
- Remove from grill and top with sour cream and jalapenos.
- Add salsa or bbq sauce if desired.
Notes
- Serve as an entree, a hearty side, or even as an appetizer.
