these are very fattening try using olive oil works very well
Ingredients
  • Butter Dips

  • This is another good biscuit recipe very fattening though I remember Mom serving these with spagettie

  • ⅓ cup butter melted in pan
  • 2 ¼ cups sifted flour
  • 3 and ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 and ½ teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup milk
  •  
  • 1. heat oven
  •  
  • 2. melt butter in oblong pan
  •  
  • 3. sift dry ingredient's
  •  
  • 4. mix dry ingredient's together
  •  
  • 5. add milk
  •  
  • 6. stir with fork until dough just sticks together
  •  
  • 7. turn out on floured board and turn over to coat
  •  
  • 8. knead lightly 10 times
  •  
  • 9. shape dough into oblong ½ inch thick
  •  
  • 10. cut dough in half length wise
  •  
  • 11. then crosswise into strips
  •  
  • 12. Dip both sides into butter and lay close together in pan in butter and bake until brown twenty to thirty minutes
