Servings: 3 large trays in dehydrator
Servings: 3 large trays in dehydrator
Ingredients
- 1 medium zucchini
- 1 small/medium Persian cucumber
- 1 24oz jar organic unsweetened applesauce
- A large handful or baby spinach
- 1 small banana
- A dash of cinnamon
- ½ dropper liquid organic stevia
Steps
- Blend all in a high speed blender like a blendtec or vitamin. You will have to pulse a few times to incorporate before speeding it up. Put the applesauce in the blender first.
- Separate mixture between three dehydrator trays lined with paraflex sheets or parchment paper(parasheets work best. )
- Spread mixture using an offset metal spatula. Spread a this layer so that you cannot see the tray underneath, not much thicker though.
- If you would like to make the mixture in to crunchy fruit/veg crackers add I cup of finely shredded unsweetened organic dried coconut to the mix per tray(about 2 ½ cups -3 cups depending on preference)
- Set dehydrator to 125 to 135, set for about 4 hours. Every hour rotate the trays so that they dry faster and more evenly.
- Fruit rolls are done when they are not wet underneath and are still very pliable.
- Fruit crackers are done when they are crunchy and able to crack apart. Usually a few hours past the fruit leathers.
