Walter Sands' Favorite Bread Machine Bread
Ingredients
  • 1 ¼ to 1 ⅓ cups (283g to 301g) lukewarm water, depending on the time of year (more in the winter, less in the summer)
  • 1 heaping tablespoon (21g) honey or 1 heaping tablespoon (15g) granulated sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoons instant yeast
  • ⅓ cup (37g) King Arthur Baker's Special Dry Milk or nonfat dry milk
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) butter
  • 2 teaspoons (12g) table salt
  • 4 cups (482g) King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
