  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley, plus more for serving
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs or 1 teaspoon dried herbs such as thyme and rosemary
