Taco Time Hot Sauce
Ingredients
  • Okay, you might have to do some experimentation with this but you'll get real close to duplicating the flavor of Taco Time hot sauce, here goes
  • You'll need arbol peppers, chile pequin (chiltepin) I use dehydrated and hydrate them myself in boiling water then separate the stem.
  • You'll also need ½ red bell pepper, 1 clove garlic, 1 (50-inch) piece of celery, a bit of carrot, ¼ cup onion, cilantro, cumin, white distilled vinegar, chili powder, salt and pepper.
  • Use about 20 arbol peppers and roughly 10 pequin chiles, hydrate them and add all ingredients except vinegar into the blender... blend away, then simmer your mixture over low to medium heat to evaporate off the excess liquid to get like a mash. Add vinegar to the mash and cook 'bout 30 minutes so the mash absorbs the vinegar then strain into a container. Like I said, you'll have to experiment but you'll get it.
