Chicken and Rice Casserole

Ingredients
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 package onion soup mix
  • 1 whole chicken breast, split
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 5¼ tablespoons butter
  • 1½ cups water
Steps
  1. Preheat over to 350° F.
  2. Spread 1 cup raw rice in greased casserole dish.
  3. Sprinkle with ½ package of dry onion soup mix.
  4. Place chicken breast on top of the rice, and season chicken and rice with salt and pepper.
  5. Sprinkle remaining ½ package of dry onion soup mix over all.
  6. Melt butter and pour over chicken and rice.
  7. Pour water over all ingredients.
  8. Cover with aluminum foil and cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
