A creamy homemade hummus made from dried chickpeas and flavored with lemon, garlic, and turmeric.
Ingredients
  • ¾ cup dried chickpeas (garbanzo beans), rinsed
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 large garlic clove, peeled
  • juice of 1 medium lemon
  • 1 TBSP tahini
  • ½ tsp ground turmeric
  • salt & freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 ice cube
  • 1 TBSP olive oil
  • raw vegetables, bread, or crackers for serving
