  • ¼ cup chili oil
  • ¼ cup light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp sesame paste (can sub tahini)
  • 2 tsp ground Szechuan peppercorn
  • ½ tsp five spice powder
  • ½ tsp sugar
  • ¼ tsp MSG
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, chopped

  • 1 lb fresh or dried noodles
  • ¼ cup noodle water (add more as needed to loosen up the sauce)
  • chopped scallions (for garnish)
  • crushed peanuts (for garnish)
