Cheddar Cheese Grits Casserole

Ingredients
- 4 cups Whole Milk
- 1⁄ 4 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Quick Grits, uncooked
- 1 large Egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon Kosher Salt
- 1⁄ 2 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
- 2 cups Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese (8 oz)
- 1⁄ 4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray a 11x7 baking dish (or 10-inch pie dish) with cooking spray.
- Bring milk just to a boil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Add butter and stir until melted.
- Gradually whisk in grits. Reduce heat, and simmer, whisking constantly, 5 to 7 minutes or until grits are done. Remove from heat.
- Stir in egg, salt, pepper and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Pour into a lightly greased 11 x 7-inch baking dish or pie dish. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Bake, covered, at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until mixture is set. Serve immediately.
