Old Fashioned Walnut Bread

Ingredients
  • 3 Cups Sifted Flout
  • 1 Cup Sugar
  • 4 tsp Baking Powder
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Egg, lightly beaten
  • ¼ Cup Shortening, melted
  • 1 ½ Cups Milk
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 1 ½ Cups Chopped Walnuts
Steps
  1. Resist flour with sugar, powder, and salt. Add egg, shortening, and milk until all flour is moistened. Stir in walnuts. Turn into greased 9" x 5" x 3" loaf pan or divide between two greased coffee cans. Bake at 350* for 1 hr 20 min or1hr 10 min for cans.
