Roti Canai
flat bread
Ingredients
  • ¾ warm water with teaspoon of sugar in it.
  • 3 cups (450g) of S/Flour
  • 1 egg
  • butter (approx 100g)
Steps
  1. mix all ingredents except the butter. Then knead for 10 minutes or more till smooth and elastic.
  2. cover with plastic wrap for two hours.
  3. divide into 10/12 equal portions and shape into balls.
  4. pour a little melted butter on work service and stretch and flatten bread (use rolling pin if needed)
  5. keep the other balls covered to stop them from drying out.
  6. Once bread is the size you want thorw in a hot pan to cook.
Notes
  • Can be frozen
  • Add different herbs or cheese of a different taste
