Baked Chocolate-Espresso Donuts with Blood Orange Glaze & Candied Blood Oranges

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup black cocoa powder (or regular cocoa powder)
  • 2 Tablespoons espresso powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • 1 ½ cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 Tablespoons fresh blood orange juice
  • 3 Tablespoons vegan butter, melted
  • 1 Tablespoon corn syrup
