Red Pepper Pasta Sauce

Ingredients
  • 6 med sweet peppers chopped, or 2 12-oz jars
  • 4 cloves garlic, 2 T olive oil
  •  
  • 1 c water
  • ⅔ c packed fresh basil or 2 T dry
  • ½ c tomato paste
  • 2T red wine vinegar
  •  
Steps
  1. Cook peppers, garlic, oil. Blend in fd processor, bit by bit with rest til totally smooth. Heat thru in a saucepan. Should work with 8 oz. pasta.
