Ingredients
- 4lbs (1.8kg) Spareribs, cut serving size
- Salt, sprinkle
- Pepper, sprinkle
- ½ x 6oz. (½x170g) Frozen concentrated orange juice
- 1 cup (225mL) Water
- ⅓ cup (75mL) Granulated sugar
- 2 Tbsp (30mL) Cornstarch
- 2tsp (10mL) Lemon juice
Steps
- Put ribs meaty side down in roaster. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Cover. roast in 350° F oven for 30 minutes.
- Turn ribs and continue to roast for 30 minutes more. Drain off fat.
- Mix remaining ingredients together in saucepan heat and stir over medium heat until it boils and thickens.
- Brush over ribs bake uncovered until tender about 30 to 40 minutes.
- Brush with sauce every 10 minutes. Garnish with slivered orange peel.
- Serve leftover sauce on the side.
- Peel orange very thinly with no white pith on rind. Sliver with knife boil for five minutes with 1 cup water and ¼ cup granulated sugar. Drain
