Orange Spareribs

Ingredients
  • 4lbs (1.8kg) Spareribs, cut serving size
  • Salt, sprinkle
  • Pepper, sprinkle
  • ½ x 6oz. (½x170g) Frozen concentrated orange juice
  • 1 cup (225mL) Water
  • ⅓ cup (75mL) Granulated sugar
  • 2 Tbsp (30mL) Cornstarch
  • 2tsp (10mL) Lemon juice
Steps
  1. Put ribs meaty side down in roaster. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Cover. roast in 350° F oven for 30 minutes.
  3. Turn ribs and continue to roast for 30 minutes more. Drain off fat.
  4. Mix remaining ingredients together in saucepan heat and stir over medium heat until it boils and thickens.
  5. Brush over ribs bake uncovered until tender about 30 to 40 minutes.
  6. Brush with sauce every 10 minutes. Garnish with slivered orange peel.
  7. Serve leftover sauce on the side.
  8. Peel orange very thinly with no white pith on rind. Sliver with knife boil for five minutes with 1 cup water and ¼ cup granulated sugar. Drain
