  • 3 ½ cups or (1) 28 oz can green chile sauce (or salsa verde if green enchilada sauce is unavailable)
  • 3 cups chicken stock or water, plus 1 tablespoon chicken base
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt adjust to taste
  • 4 cups diced potatoes about 2 large white or sweet potatoes
