Braised Beef and Vegetable Stew
Ingredients
  • 2 lb Lean Stew Beef, or Bison
  • 2 med Onions, diced
  • 3 cp Carrots, chopped (about 6 carrots total)
  • 2 cp Rutabaga, cubed about 1 x 2-inch
  • 4 clv Garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Canola Oil
  • 1 tsp Dried Thyme Leaves
  • ½ tsp Cracked Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp Dried Tarragon Leaves
  • 1 tsp Dried Summer Savory, (herb similar to sage)
  • ¼ cp Whole-Wheat Flour
  • 1 can Low-Sodium Beef Broth, undiluted (10 oz.)
  • 1 cp Canned Crushed Tomatoes
  • 1 cp Red Wine, Merlot or Burgundy Wine
  • ½ cp Water
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 ea Fresh Rosemary Stems
