Cowboy Toast

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef (90%)
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Pepper

  • 2 onions
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • Butter
  •  
  • subheading: Bread:
  • 16 slices
Steps
  1. Add meat to bowl and mix with ingredients.
  2. Split in two 1-gallon plastic bags, roll the meat flat in the bags and freeze for 30 minutes.
  3. Cut each bag content into quarters, and bake on baking sheet at 400°F for 10 minutes in convection oven.
  4. Cut and slice onions thinly. Add butter and saute onions for a few minutes. Add balsamic vinegar and sugar.
  5. Add beef to toast bread. Lay onions on top. Add another slice of toast bread and use i.e. Panini press to finish them off for a few minutes.
Notes
  • If you like to add additional ketchup, you can add it to the onions on the toast bread.
