Proofing Bread Dough

  1. Proofing Dough in the Instant Pot
  2. This morning I proofed some frozen dinner rolls in the IP. Took about 40 min. (usually it takes 3 to 5 hours). I used the Yogurt setting (>110 degrees) with 1 cup water, Pot in Pot, sprayed the PIP with Pam and placed on the trivet in the IP with the lid on.
  3. Then I baked them in the oven as the instructions said on the package.
  4. EDIT: What is Proofing? Some people are not familiar with the term Proof or Proofing. It's a baking term that refers to the final rise dough undergoes, which takes place after being shaped into a loaf, and before it is baked.
