I used 1 pt. of my canned butternut squash (with other veggies) and my dried sage. I used some of my dried veggies, homemade chicken broth and white wine. It is very good.
Ingredients
  • ½ pound spicy bulk breakfast sausage
  • 8 fresh sage leaves
  • 1 pound butternut squash, peeled and chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 2 small carrots, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • ¼ cup sherry
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • ¼ cup half-and-half
  • freshly ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 4 teaspoons sour cream
