  • 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • ½ yellow onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (reduce or omit if preferred)
  • 650 ml jar tomato pasta sauce (or 2 ¾ cups homemade)
  • Parmegan (optional for garnish)
