Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting
Ingredients
  • Chocolate Mayonaise Cake
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 c sugar
  • ½ c cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 c mayo
  • 1 c water
  • Cream Cheese Frosting
  • ½ c cream cheese
  • ¼ c unsalted butter
  • 2 c powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • ⅛ tsp salt
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Set butter and cream cheese out to soften
  3. Oil and flour a 9"×13" cake pan
  4. Add all cake ingredients to bowl and mix until smooth
  5. Pour batter into cake pan and bake for 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center of the cake will come out mostly clean
  6. Allow to cool for 2 to 3 hours before frosting
  7. Add butter and cream cheese the the bowl of a mixer and whip until combined. Add salt and ½ tsp vanilla. Add powdered sugar a little at a time
  8. Frost cooled cake and serve
