Belgian Waffles
Make this batter a day before you plan on cooking the waffles
Ingredients
  • 2¼ tsp dry yeast
  • ¾ c warm milk
  • 3 egg, separated
  • 3 c warm milk
  • 12 tbs butter
  • ½ c sugar
  • 1½ tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 4 c flour
Steps
  1. subheading: Mix:
  2. 2¼ tsp dry yeast
  3. ¼ c warm milk
  4. subheading: Whisk:
  5. 3 egg yolks
  6. ½ c warm milk
  7. 12 tbs butter
  8. subheading: Whisk in:
  9. yeast mixture
  10. ½ c sugar
  11. 1½ tsp salt
  12. 2 tsp vanilla
  13. subheading: Add in 3 parts:
  14. 4 c flour, alternating with
  15. 2½ c warm milk
  16. subheading: Finish:
  17. Beat until soft
  18. Fold in egg whites
  19. Cover and rest overnight
