Homemade Mac and cheese
Ingredients
  • 16 oz uncooked elbow macaroni
  • 8 oz shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz shredded Colby/monterea jack cheese
  • 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1 stick softened butter
  • 1 egg
  • 8 oz sour cream
  • Salt & pepper
  • Milk
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Cook macaroni for 9 min in boiling water.
  3. In large bowl, mix all cheeses, egg, sour cream, and ½ stick of butter.
  4. Grease casserole dish with rest of butter.
  5. After draining noodles, pour over cheese mixture in bowl.
  6. Mix thoroughly.
  7. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  8. When well combined, pour in greased pan and press flat into pan.
  9. Pour milk over the top. JUST ENOUGH TO COAT. (Not standing, soaking puddles)
  10. Cook covered with foil for 1 hour.
  11. Uncover and cook for another 30 minutes.
