Homemade Mac and cheese
Ingredients
- 16 oz uncooked elbow macaroni
- 8 oz shredded mild cheddar cheese
- 8 oz shredded Colby/monterea jack cheese
- 8 oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 8 oz softened cream cheese
- 1 stick softened butter
- 1 egg
- 8 oz sour cream
- Salt & pepper
- Milk
Steps
- Preheat oven to 350
- Cook macaroni for 9 min in boiling water.
- In large bowl, mix all cheeses, egg, sour cream, and ½ stick of butter.
- Grease casserole dish with rest of butter.
- After draining noodles, pour over cheese mixture in bowl.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- When well combined, pour in greased pan and press flat into pan.
- Pour milk over the top. JUST ENOUGH TO COAT. (Not standing, soaking puddles)
- Cook covered with foil for 1 hour.
- Uncover and cook for another 30 minutes.
