Easy Peach Bread (With Fresh or Canned Peaches)
8-24-22 made with fresh palisades peaches. Increased flour to 3 1/4 Cups and decreased sugar to 1 1/2 Cups for altitude adjustment. Must cook 60 minutes or even tho toothpick comes out clean will be too moist in middle! Came out perfect and delicious!
Ingredients
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 15-oz cans diced peaches in juice, drained and juice reserved (or about 2 ½ cups fresh peeled and chopped peaches)
  • subheading: For the Glaze (optional):
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 to 4 TBSP reserved peach juice
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
