  • 8 ounces uncooked mafalda pasta (or your preferred shape of pasta)
  • fine sea salt and freshly-cracked black pepper
  • toppings: lots of cheese (shredded mozzarella, ricotta and/or Parmesan cheese), chopped fresh basil
