Ingredients
  • 2 Pound Loaf (1½ Pound Loaf)
  •  
  • 1½ Cups water, 80 to 90° (1⅛)
  • 3 tbsp melted butter, cooled (2¼)
  • 3 tbsp honey (2¼)
  • 1½ tsp salt (1⅛)
  • 3¾ cups whole wheat bread flour (3)
  • 1 tsp vital wheat gluten
  • 2 tsp yeast (1½)
Steps
  1. Place  ingredients in the machine according to specifications.
  2. Program for whole wheat bread and select light or medium crust.
  3. Let the loaf cool for five minutes and then shake the bucket to remove the loaf.
  4. Place the bread on a cooling rack.
Notes
  • If using whole wheat flour rather than whole wheat bread flour, add vital wheat gluten - 1 tsp per cup flour and take out the same amount of wheat flour so you don’t imbalance the recipe.
