Ingredients
- 2 Pound Loaf (1½ Pound Loaf)
- 1½ Cups water, 80 to 90° (1⅛)
- 3 tbsp melted butter, cooled (2¼)
- 3 tbsp honey (2¼)
- 1½ tsp salt (1⅛)
- 3¾ cups whole wheat bread flour (3)
- 1 tsp vital wheat gluten
- 2 tsp yeast (1½)
Steps
- Place ingredients in the machine according to specifications.
- Program for whole wheat bread and select light or medium crust.
- Let the loaf cool for five minutes and then shake the bucket to remove the loaf.
- Place the bread on a cooling rack.
Notes
- If using whole wheat flour rather than whole wheat bread flour, add vital wheat gluten - 1 tsp per cup flour and take out the same amount of wheat flour so you don’t imbalance the recipe.
