Ingredients
  • Mochi powder 100g
  • Sugar 1tablespoon
  • Water 100ml
  • Potato Starch 100g
  • Red beans jam 125g
  • Sakura ( Japanese Cherry Blossoms)
  • Matcha powder 10g
  • Soybean powder 50g
Steps
  1. Mix in a bowl mochi flour, sugar and water (add matcha powder here if you want)
  2. Mix well and steam for 3 to 5 mins
  3. Take out and stir
  4. And put back to steam another 2 mins
  5. Take it out again and stir
  6. line a tray with plastic wrap for easy cleaning. Add potato starch.
  7. Pour mochi paste it into the potato starch.
  8. Lightly dust mochi with potato starch to make it less sticky.
  9. Cut it into 6 balls
  10. Flatten one ball and place red-beans jam into the middle and wrap it up gently. Brush off powder and serve.
  11. You can add the filling of your choice. You can wrap a strawberry in red bean paste then cover it in mochi as well.
