Crockpot Chili (Modified from Mom's)

Ingredients
- 1 lb hamburger (or substitute)
- 1 can pinto beans (white with juice)
- 1 can kidney beans (drained)
- 1 can chili beans (with juice)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 can (15 oz.) whole tomatoes (chopped with juice reserved)
- 1 can (6 oz.) tomato paste
- ½ C. water
- 2 to 3 T. chili powder
- 2 t. salt
- 1 t. oregano
- 1 t. cumin
- ¼ t. pepper
Steps
- Brown hamburger, onions, and garlic together until onions are translucent, then drain and put in slow cooker with beans.
- In separate bowl, mix tomatoes, tomato paste, and seasonings together until well mixed. Stir into the meat/beans mix in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on high for 3 ½ to 4 hours, or low for 7 to 8 hours.
- Instantpot: Cook on low pressure for 25 minutes with extra ½ C. water.
