Baked in the microwave. A great way to have a Fall-like dessert in warmer months without heating up the house. JO
Ingredients
  • 4 Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. and ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ C. Butter, cut
  • 1 C. oatmeal
  • 1C. Brown Sugar
  • 1C. Flour
  • ½ tsp. salt
Steps
  1. With peeled and chopped apples in a large bowl, add 1 tsp. sugar and ½ tsp. cinnamon. Combine and allow to macerate while preparing the streusel.
  2. Cut the butter. Add the rest of the ingredients to butter. Work until a coarse crumble forms.
  3. Put apples in a deep-dish glass or ceramic pie plate. Cover with the crumb, pressing down into the apples until you get it all on.
  4. In a microwave with a turntable, bake on HIGH for 12 minutes. If you don't have a turntable, turn your pie 45 degrees every 4 minutes.
