Servings: Makes about 5 dozen cookies.

Servings: Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
Ingredients
  • subheading: Mix together thoroughly:
  • 1½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  •  
  • subheading: Mix together and stir in:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • ½ tsp. salt
Steps
  1. Chill dough.
  2. Roll into balls the size of small walnuts.
  3. Roll in mixture of 4 Tbsp. sugar and 4 tsp. cinnamon.
  4. Place about 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Bake until lightly browned, but still soft.
  6. Bake in 350° oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
Notes
  • Use colored sugar instead of cinnamon mixture for holidays.
