Macarons (Vanilla Macarons with Vanilla Bean Buttercream)

I love to cook! I took cake decorating in 7th grade and have a degree in restaurant management. My husband and I opened and owned a bakery for 9 years. We live at 5000 ft so I can adjust most recipes for high altitude. Succumbed to the instant pot craze after loving my stovetop pressure cooker & am a convert. Love to ski, bike, garden & cook.

A few drops of pink gel food colouring

1 tsp vanilla bean paste

Hundreds and Thousands Sprinkles, (Nonpareils) to finish

subheading: American Buttercream Filling:

225g (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 tsp vanilla bean paste

pinch of salt

500g (4 cups) powdered sugar, sifted

2 to 3 Tbsp whole milk, as needed

Pink gel food colouring
