Standard Gravy

Ingredients
  • 6 T. Salted butter
  • ⅓ C. Flour
  • 2 to 3 C. Pan drippings and/or Stock (turkey, chicken, beef, veggie)
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
Steps
  1. Melt the butter over high heat until melted, and whisk in flour, cooking until no flour smell remains.
  2. Stream in the drippings and stock slowly, whisking to combine so no lumps are formed.
  3. Add salt and pepper to taste (depending on the stock, you may need to add a lot of salt if it is low sodium or homemade).
  4. Simmer, adding more stock as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
