Ingredients
- 6 T. Salted butter
- ⅓ C. Flour
- 2 to 3 C. Pan drippings and/or Stock (turkey, chicken, beef, veggie)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Steps
- Melt the butter over high heat until melted, and whisk in flour, cooking until no flour smell remains.
- Stream in the drippings and stock slowly, whisking to combine so no lumps are formed.
- Add salt and pepper to taste (depending on the stock, you may need to add a lot of salt if it is low sodium or homemade).
- Simmer, adding more stock as needed to achieve the desired consistency.
