Brenda Gantt Pecan Pie

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Karo Light Syrup (spray cup w/Pam)
  • 3 eggs (stirred to break up)
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Heaping cup of pecans, rough chopped
  • 2 T melted butter
  • Deep dish frozen pie crust, thawed NOTE: Pillsbury roll-out crust in my own pie plate better. Pie crust burns in thin aluminum pan
Steps
  1. Stir together Karo Syrup, eggs, sugar and vanilla
  2. Add pecans and stir
  3. Add melted butter and stir
  4. Pour into thawed crust NOTE: Better to use Pillsbury refrigerated crust in my own pie plate - aluminum pan tended to burn the bottom crust
  5. Bake at 350 degrees until it barely "jiggles" in the middle (about an hour) IMPPORTANT: Be sure to remove pie when it still has a little bit of "jiggle" or else it'll be over-done.
