Judi and Kevin’s Rosemary Split Pea Soup
Wonderfully aromatic hearty soup.
Ingredients
  • 2 lbs split peas, rinsed
  • 3 carrots, scrubbed and chopped
  • 3 celery spears, rinsed and chopped
  • 5 tbsp minced garlic (or 1 bulb)
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp rosemary, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp ground sage
  • 2 tsp ground thyme
  • 1½ tsp black pepper
  • salt (optional)
  • water
Steps
  1. Rinse the peas in a colander and pour them in the crock pot (6½ to 7 quart).
  2. Add the carrots, celery, onions and garlic.
  3. Add water until ¼" from the top.
  4. Add spices.
