Crumbed Cauliflower Steaks
Ingredients
  • subheading: Chickpea crumb:
  • 1 cup dried chickpeas, soaked overnight or 2 cans of chickpeas, drained
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried thyme or oregano
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp sea salt (optional)

  • 1 large or 2 small heads of cauliflower
  • 1 ⅓ cup cassava flour
  • 1 ⅓ cup water, more if needed
  • 1 tsp sea salt (optional)
  • 4 to 6 cups leafy greens, to serve
  • 2 to 3 tbsp chopped parsley, to serve
  • subheading: Mushroom gravy:
  • 1 small onion finely chopped (about 1 cup)
  • 3 cups chopped mushrooms (about 8 oz)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 2 cups vegetable broth or Healing Broth
  • 1 tbsp  coconut aminos (optional)
  • 1 cup cold unsweetened almond milk (or substitute more vegetable broth if you prefer a fat-free option)
  • 4 tbsp  arrowroot starch
  • ½ tsp sea salt (optional)
