Oven-Fried Chicken
Ingredients
  • 10 chicken breasts
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 4 tsps. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsps. celery salt or ground celery seed
  • 2 tsps. paprika
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsps. salt
  • ½ tsp. pepper
  • 2 tsps. poultry seasoning
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • Cornflake crumbs
Steps
  1. Cut chicken breasts in half. Wipe dry and remove excess fat.
  2. In large bowl, combine all remaining ingredients except margarine and cornflakes; stir well. Add chicken, making sure each piece is covered well. Let stand in refrigerator overnight.
  3. Remove chicken pieces from mixture; blot of excess with dry towel. Dip each piece in melted margarine, then roll in cornflake crumbs.
  4. Place chicken in single layer on shallow baking pan. Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes or until chicken tests done.
