3 Honeycrisp apples, cored and sliced into 8 wedges

1 ¾ cups granulated sugar, divided

½ cup light brown sugar

2 sticks unsalted butter, melted

2 eggs

¾ cup buttermilk

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons kosher salt

1 teaspoon Simply Organic Cinnamon

1 teaspoon Simply Organic Nutmeg

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon baking powder
