Sourdough Sausage Stuffing
Ingredients
  • 8 cups sourdough bread, cut into ½ -inch cubes
  • 1 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 6 tablespoons butter, divided
  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • ½ cup carrot, diced
  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • ¾ cup dry white wine
  • 3 tablespoons fresh sage, roughly chopped, divided
  • 1 tablespoon dried or fresh thyme, roughly chopped
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • ½ tablespoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon pepper
