Korean Beef Bulgogi
Ingredients
  • 1 lb ribeye steak or sirloin; flank steak, flat iron, skirt steak, hanger, or tenderloin would also work
  • 2 tablespoon vegetable oil or canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish, raw or lightly toasted; adjust to taste
  • subheading: Marinade:
  • ¼ cup soy sauce use Korean or a blend of Japanese dark and light; use tamari or coconut aminos if gluten-free
  • ¼ cup honey or brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon rice wine vinegar or mirin
  • 2 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoon minced garlic from 3 large cloves
  • ½ tablespoon minced ginger
  • 1 stalk green onion
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ kiwi 1 tablespoon pureed; OR 2 tablespoon pureed Asian pear pureed OR 3 tablespoon onion puree
