  • 1 medium carrot, peeled and coarsely grated
  • 1 medium yellow onion, halved and sliced ¼-inch thick
  • 4 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
  • 1 Thai bird chile, sliced
  • 4 scallions, thinly sliced
