  • 100g mushrooms, thickly sliced
  • 440ml can Guinness
  • 350ml beef stock
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tablespoon soft light brown sugar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 3 sprigs of fresh thyme
