Hi to all those asking for my recipe for Limoncello, it's a creamy one, delicious!
Ingredients
  • Organic lemons 10
  • Vodka 500ml
  • Milk 500ml
  • Cream 500ml
  • Sugar 500g
  • Vanilla bean or 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
Steps
  1. Peel the lemons very finely with a potato peeler, try not to peel the pith as it will make the limoncello bitter, macerate the lemon rind with 500ml of vodka in a jar with a sealed lid, keep the mixture in dark place for 28 days.
  2. After 28 days strain the lemon rind & vodka mixture into a large bowl.
  3. Bring the milk, cream, vanilla bean & sugar to the boil in a large pot, stirring to make sure the sugar has melted, turn off the heat & let the mixture cool down.
  4. When the milky mixture is cold add to the lemon infusion & stir well.
  5. Pour the mixture into bottles & freeze for at least 4 weeks before it’s ready to drink.
